Job Description

Key Task

- Structural design appraisal of offshore structures - jacket and topside etc. Both new and ageing

Responsibilities

- Undertake design reviews of offshore and onshore structures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, verification scheme and/or certification requirements
- Undertake independent analysis of various offshore and onshore structures
- Design Appraisal of tank container structures
- Undertake design assessment for life extension / remaining life assessment of existing offshore / onshore structures
- Maintain good communications with clients, designers and other offices

Experience

- Minimum 14 years experience - 8+ years experience in offshore structural design and analysis
- Fixed Offshore structure experience - in-place analysis/ review, fatigue analysis/ review
- Experience with ageing fixed offshore structure analysis/ life extension of Fixed offshore structure would be advantageous

They have asked WRS to assist in their search for a Senior Safety Design Engineer.

Candidates must have extensive experience and knowledge in the following fields:

- Safety/Fire Protection (Fire water network, deluge/spray,
foam, halon alternative extinguishing system, hydraulic simulation, passive fire protection, etc
- Fire and Gas Detection
- HSE Philosophy and Plan
- Hazardous Area Classification
- Safety Studies like QRA, Consequence Modelling, HAZID, HAZOP & EER

Minimum of 10 years experience as a Lead Safety Design Engineer in the field of oil/gas industry ,Onshore and Offshore.

Candidates must be engineering graduates, preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering, from a leading university.

They must be fully conversant with international/company standards and codes like NFPA, IP, API, Shell DEP/EP, BP, etc.

Software knowledge of PIPENET, PHAST, FRED or any similar validated safety related software is preferred.

Only candidates who have Safety Design experience should respond.

Candidates who have worked in a consulting company in large projects in oil/gas industry preferred.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Abu Dhabi.
