In this position, the Oracle DBA will be responsible for managing and administrating oracle database in an environment that involves mission critical applications on Unix platforms for the electronic payment industry. He will be based in Riyadh KSA .

Job Requirements:

The Oracle DBA Database Administrator will be responsible for the following:

•Installation and upgrades of the Oracle server and application tools
•Create & modify databases & database objects
•Database auditing and security
•Performance tuning
•Configuration management
•Backup & Recovery (RMAN, Legato, Export/Import Datapump)
•Monitoring (Patrol/Foglight), trouble-shooting and resolution
•Autosys Job scheduling.
•On-call production support.

Skills

•Engineering degree or Equivalent
•A minimum of 2 years working experience as Oracle DBA
•An Oracle DBA certificate is required
•Ability to work in a team based environment
•Proficiency in written and spoken English
•Capability to present/communicate technical and business subject matter internally and to customers.
•Will be located in Riyadh - KSA.

VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Database Administrator for our Qatar operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions: Education/Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. • Minimum 2 years experience in financial services with a specialization in Relational Databases design, implementation, and maintenance. • Training courses and certification in operating systems, relational databases, and applications support. • Knowledge in Administration DB skills (DB2, Oracle, etc). Required Special Skills: • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferable). • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and financial management skills. • Self-driven with well-developed leadership, motivational and team-building skills. • Understanding of linkages driving profit. • Good interpersonal skills. • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required. • Maintain and tune existing relational databases, under the direction of the Head of In-house Systems. • Assist in analyses and implementation of user and systems development requirements for changes in databases and applications. • Assist in the simulation of contingency plans and perform testing and upgrades of database engine versions. • Ensure implementation of timely and effective backup and recovery procedures for databases, in accordance with the overall contingency policy of the Group. • Carry out a high degree of planning and monitoring to ensure best level of service and maintenance of security and contingency controls. • Confer with and seek guidance from the Senior Database Administrator for more complex tasks and duties. • Posses a high technical knowledge in operating systems and database engines, tools, and systems architecture to resolve any business disruption or inconvenience to the users that may critically impact the Group.
