The Managing Director will be responsible for business development and project oversight with an emphasis on helping to expand and grow the practice globally. The final candidate will be responsible for selling and delivering a broad range of financial and operational consulting services. The position will require the individual to conduct business development as well as provide group and direct project oversight where he or she will help Huron win and execute complex, high profile engagements. The platform at Huron is based upon a culture of collaboration and teaming and as a result this person will be expected to work closely with other senior members of the Higher Education consulting practice to leverage the broad services the practice offers. This person will establish trust with clients through their superior content knowledge across a broad range of complex issues. In addition to the above responsibilities, the Managing Director will:

This individual is most likely currently serving as a Managing Partner, Practice Leader, Partner or Vice President within a professional services firm that has an established presence and solid reputation in the Higher Education sector. He or she will have experience with a broad range of services, and will bring additional credibility to Huron’s practice in the market.

The final candidate will be a strong leader and self starter with an excellent track record of generating new business. He or she will be a team player with a high level of energy and integrity. This individual must possess strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. In addition the final candidate will be passionate and excited about collaborating to continue to grow and build the valuation practice into a major practice for the firm. It is highly preferred that candidates posses undergraduate/advanced degrees, preferably and MBA and have broad understanding of general business concepts and disciplines including finance/accounting. This position will require strong understanding of the impact of Strategy for process improvements. Client relationship experience working with large organizations is also required. Experience working with strategy firms is preferred. Experience in public sector or higher education purchasing is a highly desirable.
