The key responsibilities of the IT Supervisor are to set up the complete IT system (Installation, Maintenance of Hardware, Software and Networks) in Stores, Head Office and Warehouse integration for a startup retail home fashion company in Saudi Arabia.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Networking
• Responsible for planning and implementation of IT infrastructure in Store and H.O in coordination with Software Provider (Retail Operations/Accounting & Finance/Warehousing) keeping in view the company’s expansion plans.
• Coordination with IT software provider for integration of warehousing system (outsourced at present) with main IT software in store and head office for real time inventory updates.
• Implement network security system at the regional level.
• Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure.
• Responsible for the administration of the company's WAN.
Internal Systems
• Responsible for troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
• Works with project team/operations to help implement Internal Systems in accordance with company’s expansion plan.
• Coordinate with software provider for installation of POS operations in Store and timely backup/reporting in H.O (Finance).
• To ensure maximum availability of computer systems throughout the Company.
• Responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, local and or wide area networks, IT security and telecommunications.
• To develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan.
• To develop and control the IT security policy.
• To maintain and update company website working with local developer
Help Desk Administration
• Responds to routine IT related queries and troubleshooting at store and HO.
• Oversees the administration & maintenance of company’s Retail software.
• Help and train new staff members in IT setup and training of POS operations.
• Interacts with internal clients (ISP, networking, hardware/software vendors, licensing, etc) to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Head Office team in data entry
Asset Management
• Manage the procurement of software, hardware and other IT supplies by coordinating with local vendors in accordance with company policies.
• Ensures that company assets (IT infrastructure) are well safeguarded and are up and running efficiently.
Skills
• Graduate degree /Certification in Software ware/Hardware maintenance with approximately 2-3 years experience of Managing IT Department independently.• Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
• Ability to effectively priorities and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills across all levels.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken is a must, Arabic is an advantage.
