AF4789 - GL Accountant | Al Futtaim Shared Service Finance


We are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Ledger Accountant to be based in our Dubai office for a period of 6 months.
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Preparation of Journal Entries
  • Reconciling various GL accounts, preparing ‘action-triggering' schedules
  • Review of Trial balance and preparation of reports that would enable analysis of the accounts
  • Provide support on month-end & yearend closing activities
  • Analysis of expense accounts
  • Handling Insurance related matters in relation to renewals, declarations
  • Handling annual audit and book closure

To be successful, you must have the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
  1. Strong computer skills - including ERP knowledge (preferably SAP) and advanced MS-Excel knowledge
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Having an eye for detail
  4. Team player
  5. Previous experience in a similar or related role
  6. Degree qualification in Business/Commerce
  7. Candidates with further specialised accounting qualifications/certifications will be preferred - those part qualified will be given priority.
  8. Experience of working within a large organisation
  9. Visa needs to be on Spouse/Parent sponsorship.
It is essential that you have an excellent command of the English language both written and spoken and be able to work within a team environment.  You must have good IT skills and preferably be competent with SAP as this package is currently used by all Al Futtaim companies within the group
