Finance Manager - Oman

Requirements: Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial and prepare financial statements by compiling information from the records, utilizing appropriate finance and accounting control procedures, direct investment activities, and implementation of cash management strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis
2. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial reports and document business transactions.
3. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
4. Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for the business units.
5. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
6. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll overview, invoices, and other finance and accounting documents.
7. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
8. Explain company policies to staff, vendors, and clients on processing the documents, ensure processing vendor invoices on time and collection of outstanding invoices before due date.
9. Resolve accounting discrepancies.
10. Recommend, develop, and maintain software systems, its backup support and manual filing systems.
11. Supervise the input of financial data into software and generate required reports for the management.
12. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the annual operating budget and consult with sectional management on the fiscal aspects of program planning, salary recommendations, and other administrative actions.
2. Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
1. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications

Skills

MBA - Finance or Equivalent Certification, 5-10 years of experience in the same field, and successful completion of finance related certificate from Reputed College Willingness to work in flexible schedule.
