Job Purpose:
Driving GPRS Planning Team to forecast, design, plan and run projects, upon company’s vision, work as a team with NSS, BSS, Roaming, Billing and Infrastructure planning team, transmission ,IT achieve the marketing goals & maintain a stable network from Planning point of view, monitor subscriber behavior. Share the knowledge and put training to the staff.
Staff Supervision :
- Staff evaluation.
- Staff career development.
- Put necessary training program for staff.
- Distribute task reasonably to the staff.
Technical:
- Define GPRS network structure for expansion and design interconnection (SS7 and TCP/IP) with other elements.
- Provide new services/solutions according to Marketing requirements after inspection for the availability with the current network structure and standards specification.
- Participating in vendor selection process including gathering requirements, issuing RFQ, participating in evaluation with other departments
- Build the necessary process & procedures for GPRS configuration, planning & implement the necessary testing .
- Support local team & show guidance on trouble shooting of general & specific problems of GPRS interworking.
- Coordinate TPM with department (IN, Billing, NSS,BSS, Transmission, Operation, IT etc) to achieve the goal.
- Responsible for maintaining all test faults & consult with different department to rectify during the testing period.
- Provide other departments with GPRS information upon request.
- Provide the GPRS technical assistance for other VAS service like MMS, WAP…
- Develop documentation/diagram for Managing GPRS network & also for providing other department with necessary information for implementing
- Familiar with configuration for the router/switch for the necessary service route
Other Duties & responsibilities:
- Build necessary training to local staff & provide these trainings on timely fashion.
- Convey necessary meetings with different groups upon need.
- Budgeting: provide necessary support to budgeting teams to calculate accurate budget for GPRS Engineering in terms of Equipment, Tools, Engineering services & Trainings requirements.
- Convey Necessary meetings within the group and/or with other groups upon need.
- Any other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements- Familiar with telecom technologies architecture - Eight or more years knowledgeable on Huawei/NSN MSC & MSoft & xGSN, Huawei/Cisco router, firewall - Experience in different operators in other countries - Eight or more years experience with GPRS equipments maintenance - Eight or more years IP Experience and SS7 Signaling Experience - Strong in planning, analytical & project management skills. - Experience in planning and KPI report is preferable. - Good knowledge of MS Office applications. - Well communication in English language, Arabic and Kurdish would be advantage - Considerable knowledge on GSM standards. |
